LREMC Board of Directors is excited to announce Jon T. Locklear is leading Lumbee River EMC President and CEO.
We are confident that Jon's operational and leadership experience, combined with his deep connection to our communities, make him the right person for this role," said Rory Eddings, LREMC Board of Directors Chairman.
Locklear earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership from Liberty University.
Locklear comes to LREMC from Healthkeeperz, where he was employed for 15 years, spending the last eight years serving on the Leadership team. He also served as an Associate Pastor at Clinton Family Worship Center. Locklear is married to Brittany Locklear, and they have four children.
A native of Pembroke, Locklear is no stranger to the communities we serve. His father, Titus Locklear, was a meter reader at LREMC many years ago.
Locklear is an LREMC Member-Owner who believes in cooperative values. Cooperatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity. Cooperative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility, and caring for others.
"I am excited to lead such an exceptional organization," said Locklear. "Our members are our priority, and I look forward to continuing the great LREMC tradition of providing high-quality service to them."
