Lumbee River EMC proudly supports local educators through the Bright Ideas Education Grant program, which funds innovative, hands-on classroom projects that might not otherwise be possible.
Each year, educators with creative teaching ideas are encouraged to apply for a grant starting April 1. Applications remain open through mid-September, and multiple submissions are allowed. Grants are awarded in November for projects across all grade levels and curriculum areas, including math, science, language arts, history, and the arts.
Proposals must directly benefit students, provide ongoing educational impact, and incorporate innovative teaching methods. Submissions should align with Lumbee River EMC’s core values and include a detailed budget, implementation plan, project goals, creative elements, and an evaluation strategy. All applications must have approval from the school principal and undergo a competitive review process focused on innovation and creativity.
Educators are encouraged to apply early! Those who submit their grant applications by the August 15 early bird deadline will be entered into a statewide drawing to win one of five $100 gift cards, with winners announced in late fall.
