Lumbee River EMC’s Christmas Care Program is now accepting applications and donations for the 2026 holiday season.

Through the Christmas Care Program, Lumbee River EMC employees, the Board of Directors, and friends of the cooperative come together each year to help families in our communities during the holiday season. The program provides food baskets for families and toys for children, helping make Christmas a little brighter for those in need.

Concern for Community is one of the cooperative’s seven principles, and the Christmas Care Program is one of the many ways Lumbee River EMC puts that principle into action. The program began in 1981 when employees committed their time and resources to making a difference in the lives of members and their families. That tradition of giving continues today.

Members who would like to be considered for assistance must submit a completed 2026 Christmas Care Application by Monday, November 2, 2026.

Applicants must be an active Lumbee River EMC account holder, and the entire application must be completed. Applications may be rejected if all questions are not answered.

Completed applications may be returned to any Lumbee River EMC office or emailed to christmas.care@lumbeeriver.com.

Those who would like to support the program are also encouraged to make a donation. Every contribution helps the Christmas Care Program continue its longstanding tradition of neighbors helping neighbors and bringing joy to local families during the holiday season.
