Lumbee River EMC (LREMC) proudly hosted the Bright Ideas Education Grant Luncheon on November 5, 2024, at its Pembroke headquarters. Each year, we participate in the Bright Ideas grant program, supporting K-12 educators by funding innovative projects that bring creativity and excitement to the classroom.
Teachers from various subjects—including music, art, history, reading, science, technology, math, and engineering—are encouraged to apply for these grants to make their unique teaching ideas come to life. This year, LREMC awarded an impressive $71,446 in grants to 51 exceptional teachers across Cumberland, Hoke, Robeson, and Scotland counties.
These educators are leading the way in creating engaging learning experiences, helping their students thrive in and out of the classroom. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to this year's grant recipients for their hard work, dedication, and vision. Thank you for shining bright and inspiring the next generation of thinkers and leaders! To view the photos from this event, click here.
